Professional Biography
I became an RN in 1989. My intention and goal was always to work as a medical advisor for the creative arts. Nursing school is no easy task , nor is it a short one ! 5 years go by and, finally, I become a licensed nurse ready ( NOT ) to take care of patients on my own. Thanks to great mentors and preceptors I quickly gained confidence and took off my imaginary training wheels. Most nurses, like physicians, will specialize OR, ER, ICU or Psych there are so many options, too many to list here ( for a somewhat complete list please email me and I will name as many as I can ) Now , where I was different was that I wanted to see and do every kind of nursing that I could so I would have a wider knowledge base to be credible when I advised on the set. To name but a few I worked in the ER , OR, PACU, GI Lab, Education, Administration .
I floated to any department and accepted any assignment ,both in hospital and through an agency. I was a flight nurse, I did home health and hospice and more. This is not to brag ( AT ALL ) it is to portray the extent of my experiences in the medical field and why I am the best option for your project. I worked ,concurrently, as a clinical, practicing nurse as well as a medical technical advisor until season 5 of House and I decided to no longer work on Hiatus , but to spend that time with my family. And this brings us to today :) waiting for me and my next project to find each other.

GOOD DAY
Have you ever noticed that almost EVERY Feature Film & TV Show will have a medical scene, thread or arc ? I certainly do, because I have built a successful career advising directors, actors, writers and all other departments, involved in a production, on such scenes ( and I have done a LOT of them - please see CV )
You will hire a Stunt Coordinator or a Police Tech Advisor, why would you scrimp on a Medical Advisor? You wouldn't, would you ?
Why me ?
First of all, because I am very good at what I do !
I can teach an actor to perform like a neurosurgeon in one ( not too short ) private rehearsal. I can utilize general bg and have them performing as an ER or OR team before lunch is over.
In addition, I can review your scripts and pro-actively edit the medical content to make it accurate without reducing the drama or unravelling your critical story points.
I will SHOW you how to keep your project medically authentic and not interfere with your story.
There is no medical scene too small to not have it be accurate !
I have been very fortunate to have worked with some of the most successful actors, directors, producers and designers in the business.
